Andrea Callard's interdisciplinary practice moves through fine art, communication media, and education. In 2008, she made short video stories for the recycling company Green Planet 21. Callard’s latest sound project is an audio CD for friends who spend time in cars: REpositioning Myself in the Marketplace. Also this year, the New York Society for Acoustic Ecology and free103point9.org produced Giant Ear, a new compilation of field recordings that includes sounds from the installation Slapp Happy. Three of Callard's photographs from the Times Square Show of 1980 are published in a new catalog by Magasin, Centre National d’Art Contemporain in France. Callard’s papers are in the Downtown Collection at the Fales Library, New York University. |
